about

This is a song dedicated to the people who lost their lives, family and homes in the Grenfell Tower fire. The proceeds will go to the people who's lives have been devastated by this tragedy.

lyrics

How many children died in the fire?
How many lives has it cost?
It depends who you're asking
And wether or not
There's anything left to be lost.

The words from the ground tell a story
A hundred or more can't be found
But the words from the mouth of the system we trust
Are desperately playing it down

Well they propped up plastic panels on the eyesore
To appease the view from their tower of lies
And from windows they watched as it burned away
With the flames of inequality
Reflecting in their eyes

But this is a fire
that cannot be put out
This is a flame that will burn
Until they account for the lives that were lost
By prevail of the rich man's concern.

But why would the mouthpiece of power,
Subscribe to an obvious lie
It is weighed on the value of property
And not on the people that died

Well they propped up plastic panels on the eyesore
To appease the view from their tower of lies
And from windows they watched as it burned away
With the flames of inequality
Reflecting in their eyes

But it's more than an eyesore now my friend.
It's the blackest of gravestones that stands
as reminder to all with a heart and a soul
that the power resides in our hands

They'll abuse the trust that we've foolishly placed
In their greedy incompetent hands
They'll abuse us until there's nothing much left
but a pile of ash on the ground

Well they propped up plastic panels on the eyesore
To appease the view from their tower of lies
And from windows they watched as it burned away
With the flames of inequality
Reflecting in their eyes
